This middle aged gentleman had neck pain, arm pain and was developing weakness in his legs. Though he had no bowel or bladder urgency or incontinence, I suggested that he have anterior decompression of the nerves and spinal cord to correct his problems and avoid permanent worsening. The cord was decompressed by removing the bone spur, disk were preserved with bone graft plugs from the bone bank, and the spine was stabilized with a titanium plate fixed into the bone at Cervical vertebrae 5,6,& 7. His symptoms improved dramatically and he has remained symptom free.
